In July 2021, YouTube set all unlisted videos uploaded before 2017 to private (unless the channel owner had opted out). In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. If this video was uploaded before 2017 and has gone private, there is a chance that a 360p archived version can be viewed on archive.org via the site's Wayback Machine as follows: 1. Enter the YouTube URL in the Wayback Machine form or click on the following link: https://web.archive.org/web/20210000000000*/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8ZyVZDGlMo 2. Right-click on a blue entry in July in the calendar. 3. Click 'Copy link address'. 4. Paste the copied link address into your web browser's address bar and press enter.
Description: This is a showcase of tone more than playing. I play a few cliche licks and some SRV-style "Pride and Joy". My dad and I have had this Marshall JCM 900 sitting in the basement for years, and we never played it much. I recently plugged it in and cranked the crap out of it. Both my dad and I are completely floored by the sound of this amp and cannot understand why we never cared for it. This thing sounds AMAZING. Setup in this video : - 1999 Fender American Strat - Late 90s Marshall JCM 900 on the clean channel, Volume on 9-10 / Gain @ ~2 o'clock - Marshall 1962 Lead 4x12 slanted cab - Ibanez TS-9 modified to TS-808 specs by Analogman (run a google search to find out more). In the video, I switch the Tube Screamer on and off a few times, you can hear when it gets dirtier. Left it at the last part. Playing is quite sloppy ... sorry!
