Mike Gravel Thinks Differently

In July 2021, YouTube set all unlisted videos uploaded before 2017 to private (unless the channel owner had opted out). In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. If this video was uploaded before 2017 and has gone private, there is a chance that a 360p archived version can be viewed on archive.org via the site's Wayback Machine as follows:

1. Enter the YouTube URL in the Wayback Machine form or click on the following link:
https://web.archive.org/web/20210000000000*/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slgquowo5n0

2. Right-click on a blue entry in July in the calendar.

3. Click 'Copy link address'.

4. Paste the copied link address into your web browser's address bar and press enter.

Description:

I was perusing Youtube the other day, and I stumbled upon this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oAB83Z1ydE.

Being an ardent Apple user, I found this classic commercial appealing, but then I chose, to coin a phrase, to stop and think.

The very basis of Apple's marketing campaign way back when (and now) was that they offered the refreshing alternative to the ordinary. I think the same applies to Sen. Mike Gravel, and his presidential campaign. Sen. Gravel is the only candidate who realizes what the American people need to hear, not merely want to hear, so he's a candidate that 'Thinks Differently.'

Mike Gravel is a candidate who knows that one man, without the support of major corporations, can make a difference, that's why he 'Thinks Different.'

This is a 'campaign ad' I based (very closely) off of that Apple 'Think Different" ad. The same analogies, allusions, and associations all apply, and I'm quite proud of this video.

It's time that the American people think different, not only in their choice of Personal Computer, but in their choice for the American President.

I'm voting for Mike Gravel because he 'Thinks Differently..'

Rate it. Favorite it. Make people know that there's an alternative in the 2008 election. From all that I've learned from working with Sen. Gravel, it's that one man can make a difference.

Apparently, the Ron Paul Campaign had someone make a similar video. I learned about it three days after I uploaded this one, so I certainly didn't base this off of the Ron Paul version.

That said, I certainly wasn't the total creative genius behind this. Apple Computers had a similar ad release a few years ago, only centered around their product. A link to said ad can be found above.
