Wrestlemania 29: John Cena vs The Rock WWE Championship

In July 2021, YouTube set all unlisted videos uploaded before 2017 to private (unless the channel owner had opted out). In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. If this video was uploaded before 2017 and has gone private, there is a chance that a 360p archived version can be viewed on archive.org via the site's Wayback Machine as follows:

1. Enter the YouTube URL in the Wayback Machine form or click on the following link:

The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 28 was appealing and exciting. Two of the biggest Superstars in WWE history were going one-on-one to see who the better wrestler was.

The Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 29 doesn't feel as exciting as their first encounter, even though the match is more important now that the WWE Title is up for grabs.

So, what's the problem?

Part of the problem is that nobody wants to see John Cena in the main event for the third consecutive WrestleMania, which is completely understandable. The other part of the problem is that The Rock hasn't been able to further his feud with John Cena because he's missed two vital weeks of Raw. WWE fans know he has to film Hercules, but it just looks bad when the WWE champion is missing Raw when WrestleMania is less than a month away.

Both of them are responsible for making this match uninteresting.

With that said, The Rock is going to beat John Cena in their rematch at WrestleMania 29, just like Stone Cold Steve Austin beat The Rock in their rematch at WrestleMania 17.

Stone Cold Steve Austin beat The Rock at WrestleMania 15 and 17 before The Rock finally got a victory over the Texas Rattlesnake at WrestleMania 19. It took three tries for The Rock to beat Steve Austin, and the WWE is going to do the same thing with John Cena.

With Rock and Cena headlining last year's event, WrestleMania 28 shattered records and made the WWE a lot of money. This year, the WWE played it safe and are having the same main event for the second straight year, and now that the WWE Title is on the line, they are expecting to draw in even more fans.

No matter what happens at WrestleMania 28, The Rock and John Cena will have a third match somewhere in the future.

But at the end of the show, I fully expect The Rock to leave WrestleMania 29 as the WWE champion.

Winner: The Rock
