Description: Meet Christian who's adidas Sports Marketing Manager (responsible for the German National Football team) and as such a constant member of team's entourage. He acts as the liaison contact between the players and adidas. adidas' mission is to help every athlete to achieve his or her personal best. This includes providing players and federations with best-in-class services and products. Therefore adidas has for every partner organization and club a Sports Marketing Asset Manager who looks after the needs of the respective team. Christian is the Asset Manager for the DFB and takes you behind the curtains of this job. If a player has anatomical issues and requests product modifications or just a new football cleats, Christian coordinates it with the headquarters in Herzogenaurach. If adidas needs players for marketing campaigns it's him discussing it with the athletes and their managers. If adidas has new products, Christian checks if and how the team could benefit from it. The list of Christian's tasks goes on and on. The most important aspect about his job is that he gains the players' trust and confidence and to be close to them. Christian makes sure that the adidas equipment, the campaigns and activations are in line with what the national team needs (and vice versa) and supports the football players to perform at their very best. The fact that Christian has been a football player all his life himself does not only benefit him in the relationship to the German national team, but also means that the sports marketing career he is pursuing right now is the best job he can imagine.
