Ecommerce has officially WON.

No other business model compares to selling online.

If you’ve built your living around brick and mortar, you need to pivot.

ASAP.

Jeff Bezos saw it coming way back in 1994...

Fast forward to today, he has a net worth of 139.7 billion USD.

So what exactly is ecommerce?

The ability to buy things without having to go somewhere else.

10 years ago I told people about online education (a form of ecommerce).

Guess what happened?

More than 200,000 students have enrolled in my online programs since then.

But when I started, not everyone thought it was a good idea.

In fact, some people called my programs a scam.

But, I didn’t let the naysayers drag me down.

I saw the trend coming — and I held on.

And right now, ecommerce is still THE trend to catch.

If you want to learn, here are some practical tips you can use immediately:

If you want to sell a physical product it’s best to use Shopify.

Why?

Because it’s the easiest to start with.

And, it has a ton of features for advanced users.

If you want to sell digital products, it gets more complex because there are a ton of options like Teachable, Clickfunnels, WordPress, or Kajabi.

Both physical or digital products are good options.

But you should consider the pros and cons of each.

Physical products are easier to sell because people are used to buying something they can hold in their hand.

But the downside is there’s more competition.

Digital products are cheaper to sell.

The cost of goods (COGs) are low, so the margins are higher.

The downside is a lot of people still aren’t used to using a product online.

What’s the best option?

It’s up to you.

Personally, I do BOTH physical and digital.

Once you’ve decided, the natural next step is choosing what to sell.

For help with that, I suggest learning from billionaire Tilman Fertitta.

He was at my house recently and shared a ton of great advice.

One of his biggest takeaways was this:

“If you don’t know what to sell, sell to the masses, not to the classes.”

Meaning don't sell luxury products to start with.

Instead, find a product that the masses use.

Once you find a product, you’ll need to know HOW to sell it.

The best way is to use stories.

In the world of social media and personal branding, stories sell.

People love stories because they’re persuasive and emotional.

A good story can go viral and skyrocket your sales - even if you’re new.

Every great brand has a story.

Steve Jobs told a story about a simple and easy-to-use product with great design.

Elon Musk tells a story about turning us into a multi-planet species.

My business, Farmers Cart, also tells a story.

It started by being sick and tired of unhealthy food options so I started growing my own food on my farm.

I ended up having too much meat, so I started giving it away.

The people loved it so much and I eventually turned it into a business.

See how my story led to the product?

Stories can work for digital products too.

I know an engineer who created a simple online course about excel.

He realized very few people know how to use spreadsheets, so he created 7 video lessons (1 hour each) and sold them online.

The end result?

A full-time income from his product launch.

THAT is the power of ecommerce...

No matter what you do, bet on ecomm.

Don’t let fear hold you back.

Scared money doesn’t make money.

When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade.

Open up a lemonade stand and profit.

Stay Strong,
Tai
