When the Starlight Theater agrees to produce Henry's new musical as part of their local writers' workshop, they get a show stopping number that's more than they bargained for. Now the people of Hatchetfield are up to their ass in shit, and five-o-clock can't come soon enough! Based on the musical-within-the-musical from 'The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals,' 'Workin' Boys' is a 28 minute short film made as a Kickstarter perk for the 2019 StarKid 10niversary crowdfunding campaign. Originally slated for production in 2020, the short was delayed due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, but the moment has finally arrived. Time to open the curtain and KILL the reviews! 'Workin' Boys' features a script by Nick & Matt Lang, songs by Jeff Blim, a score by Matt Dahan, choreography by Lauren Lopez, and special make-up FX by Gabriela Vega. It stars Jeff Blim, Mariah Rose Faith Casillas, Bryce Charles, Matt Dahan, Corey Dorris, Paul Gabriel, Angela Giarratana, Lauren Lopez, Jon Matteson, Curt Mega, Joey Richter, Dylan Saunders, Virginia Vass, Kim Whalen, and Mary Kate Wiles.
