Description: An explanation of the combo and counter breaking mechanics of the 2013 XBox One fighting game Killer Instinct. Killer Instinct is a series of fighting games, with similarities to Mortal Kombat. The first game, Killer Instinct, was released on arcade in 1994, and was ported to SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) and Nintendo Game Boy. Killer Instinct 2 and its upgraded version, Killer Instinct: Gold, were released in 1996 on arcade and Nintendo 64. There were no further Killer Instinct games until 2013.
