Ukulele Misadventures Halloween Special |
In July 2021, YouTube set all unlisted videos uploaded before 2017 to private (unless the channel owner had opted out). In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. If this video was uploaded before 2017 and has gone private, there is a chance that a 360p archived version can be viewed on archive.org via the site's Wayback Machine as follows: 1. Enter the YouTube URL in the Wayback Machine form or click on the following link: https://web.archive.org/web/20210000000000*/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvgwMslGiAY 2. Right-click on a blue entry in July in the calendar. 3. Click 'Copy link address'. 4. Paste the copied link address into your web browser's address bar and press enter.
Description: Hey, this is just me practicing the uke for a while. Today: Spooky Scary Skeletons by Andrew Gold. Tabs used: http://www.ukulele-tabs.com/uke-songs/andrew-gold/spooky-scary-skeletons-uke-tab-35176.html For MUCH better versions, see here: Ukulele Version by Maeve Dayz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY0qljtaKOI Metal Version by 331Erock & Miracle of Sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoKmcunpm78 10 Hour Pumpkin Dancing Version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13TOx7MviGc Ok. So. I bought this uke over a year ago, picked it up like twice. I played the recorder for a year in primary school and then just stopped. I started learning chanter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Practice_chanter) when I was twelve and stopped after just a few months. I took voice lessons for over a year and never got anywhere cause I never practiced. Sure, I got excuses, I can't even tune the uke (partially cause my ears aren't really trained and probably also partially cause it was cheap and kinda crap), I don't really like the sound of the recorder so why should I learn it, the chanter is really loud and so should my voice be and I never lived anywhere where I wouldn't bother anybody with practicing. But I wanna stick to it. Learn an insturment. Something. Partially cause I really enjoy playing those two and a half tunes on the piano that I know, so I LIKE making music. And partially just cause I wanna stick to something for once. Learn patience or something like that. Not sure if it will be the uke or if I'm gunna find something else, maybe I'll actually take classes and maybe borrow and instrument. We'll see. Just SOMETHING. And since I can't hold myself accountable, YouTube. Not sure how yet, don't wanna spam you too much, and I sure as heck don't expect anybody to watch these. This is just to kick myself in the butt to practice. Dunno, I might try live streaming maybe. That wouldn't spam your sub boxes at least. Again. We'll see. *edit* streams will stay unlisted after they're done. You'll find them in this playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLywlreJNw_6aFOdnoySmT9nDDRFwe8DEe And yeah, if you wanna give advice, it's more than welcome :) But again, I don't expect anybody to watch or anything. Used http://www.8notes.com/ukulele_tuner/ to tune, thanks Alex for suggesting!
