In July 2021, YouTube set all unlisted videos uploaded before 2017 to private (unless the channel owner had opted out). In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. If this video was uploaded before 2017 and has gone private, there is a chance that a 360p archived version can be viewed on archive.org via the site's Wayback Machine as follows:

1. Enter the YouTube URL in the Wayback Machine form or click on the following link:

2. Right-click on a blue entry in July in the calendar.

3. Click 'Copy link address'.

4. Paste the copied link address into your web browser's address bar and press enter.

Description:

I received an email a week or so ago asking this orchestra to be on one of the most popular television shows on the planet. They had seen one of our YouTube videos called the "iPad Orchestra" where we played iPads mounted on violins and cellos and flutes and bassoons to Beethoven's 5th Symphony. The producer asked if we played live on the iPads. "No, it was an experiment" I replied. We simply wrote the music, filmed to the pre-recorded music and polished the audio that eventually synced to the video. "But I have the ability to do it live!"

In fact, I'm a film scorer by day and I'm familiar with the cutting edge of musical technology. I interned with such music technology gurus as James Newton Howard (Peter Pan, The 6th Sense, Signs) and Hans Zimmer (Inception, Black Hawk Down, Pirates of the Carribean, The Lion King). I've even written music with Lindsey Stirling's dubstep guru Marko G. I have written music for Zion Theater Company, Poison Ivy Mysteries, BYU Broadcasting International, and Media Stew. And my orchestra, the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra, has produced 9 full music videos with over 2.5 million views since last June.

So... in order to be on this amazing television show we need the equipment. iPads, electric violins and cellos, live dubstep stations and some audio equipment.

That's where you come in. I'd like to ask two small things of you. First, share this on twitter, facebook, pinterest, reddit and any other social websites you're a part of and second, donate. If you share this with 5 people on facebook, retweet on twitter, or pin it on Pinterest we will send you an mp3 of your choice of a song from our music on YouTube. Just email [email protected] with your song choice when you're done sharing and we'll verify. Donating even one dollar helps. look on the right side of this site and choose a level of donation... but the thing is: we're going to give you something of equal value to your donation! Music, video and a chance to be a part of our orchestra's music and YouTube channel. You could very well launch your own global music career here! Click and donate now, and very soon you'll see us performing on your favorite show!

A message from the Salt Lake Pops Orchestra

This will be an orchestra that will change the paradigm of the modern orchestra. Currently concert attendance for major orchestras across the U.S. is down. In fact, it gets worse every year. 5 major orchestras didn't open their concert season this year.

Why?

Because orchestra is trying to force the classics down our throats. Their best nights are always on pop nights. Let's start to give people what they want to hear. To that end we give away our sheet music to high school and community orchestras. Playing music that kids have a connection with is a main force behind retaining members of orchestras especially with teenagers. This is something that our orchestra will be dedicated to.

It's possible that our negotiations with the television show will not progress. In that case we will continue our YouTube videos and are currently working with performance halls to create live shows in Salt Lake City. We are also working on scheduling a tour for the end of this year in the United States. If we get enough backing we could possibly visit Canada or Europe as well.
