Description:

I wrote to Dr. DisRespect recently about the way he has mocked and imitated the Asian language over his short and successful stream career. I deemed it racist, and created a huge semantic argument online about his actions. This video is meant to clarify, elucidate, and solidify my position on the matter.

I am also not by any means "innocent" when it comes to controversial and potentially racist statements and videos of my own. To be fully transparent, I have included links to them below so that you can judge for yourself:

- Ching Chong followup after donating proceeds to charity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0WKC6KB9cc

If there are more examples you'd like me to include below to continue the conversation, please send me a message or email. Thanks :)

Special Thanks to Jay Smooth for his wonderful words of advice on discussing racism:

And special thanks to Will Campos and everyone else who helped me in the writing process of this video.
ADDENDUM TO THE ABOVE
Of course, people have taken my full transparency in thanking some friends who advised me throughout this writing process to theorize that it was fully scripted by someone else, that RocketJump is trying to "protect their talent" and all sorts of other inane bullshit. You are just wrong.

I wrote this entire 10 minute script on racism and asked for help for a reason - this is probably one of the most volatile and scary subjects to write about when addressing the internet audience. Of course I asked my peers for help when it comes to structuring it, the correct delivery, and how to make it as palatable as possible. I recognize and fully admit that my original tweet was harsh, brash, and written in haste - it caused an extremely adverse and negative reaction from the Doc's fans. That's why this video even exists in the first place - to try and restart the argument and discussion in a more civil manner. I went to my peers who are much better than me at this sort of thing and asked how they might approach the situation. I discussed the issue for a while with several different people, listening to their viewpoints and explaining mine to them. After all of this, I sat down and wrote the script for the video, then sent it back to them for one last round of discussion before sitting down and recording this video.

The process of collaboration and community input is very important to me, and I thanked them in full transparency in this description not to try and hide it (otherwise I could've just said nothing, you realize that right?) but to give credit where credit is due.
