In July 2021, YouTube set all unlisted videos uploaded before 2017 to private (unless the channel owner had opted out). In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. Description: I am going to be doing my response differently than some others have on this issue. I am going to refrain from name calling and screaming and simply respond politely using facts to showcase my point of view. You don't have to be rude to disagree. I don't agree with Onision on everything, but I don't have to scream and resort to name calling to do it. 2. Onision's first point is Japan and only focusing on deaths by gun and incorrectly correlates that almost nobody in Japan kills themselves because they don't have guns. While we do have a lot more homicides than many other countries, we actually have less over all violent crime Per Capita than many other countries. http://www.civitas.org.uk/crime/crime_stats_oecdjan2012.pdf Another fun fact (cited in my blog post) most homicides in this country is criminal on criminal crime in the big cities such as Chicago which has tight gun control. 4. While joining the military is a noble thing to do, I come from a Navy family myself, the purpose of the 2nd Amendment is to be a check against tyranical government. While one man alone can not stand against our modern army, a town or even a state could. The military and even our national guard is at the beck and call of our Commander in Chief. 5. While it is a good idea to call the police, often they don't respond in time to save lives and they are under NO legal obligation to do so. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/28scotus.html 6. Finally, a gun is just about the only defensive weapon that does NOT require direct confrontation with the assailant in order to be effective. While Mace, Baseball Bats, ect are good things to have, they require skill where as in many cases simply presenting a gun is enough to ward off an attacker.
