In the weeks leading up to this change, Archive Team archived many pre-2017 unlisted YouTube videos. Description: “I need you more than ever before” I just have a lot of AOS feelings, ok? I am so wrecked by this season and it’s only been 6 episodes. At first, it doesn’t seem like those two ships are the same at all but I think this season they have so many similar elements. Ward and Fitz are both at such a low point in their lives & we’ve seen them be extremely dependent on Skye/Simmons in S2. Unfortunately for them Skye/Simmons don’t return their feelings (or don’t feel as strongly romantically in love as they do) and that’s just been devastating to watch. I honestly feel like at this point I ship Fitzsimmons and Skyeward equally, which is a rarity cause I usually have one OTP in a fandom. I’m such a sucker for angst and these two pairs are delivering it every week, so yay (but also WHY). This song just fits the S 2 stories so well, I can’t even handle it. Like each section fit each couple perfectly, imo: “I hear something out there calling my name” - Fitz & his dependency on imaginary!Simmons “I know the man I am is not who I should be” - Ward’s self-awareness & his desire to show Skye that he can change. So this is for all my twitter peeps who have to deal with me crying over Fitz & obsessing over Ward's motivations every week. Enjoy!
